Harpenden Golf Club’s caterers are justly proud of their fare which is locally sourced, fresh and homemade. Headed by our chef, Darren Buxton, his well-trained, highly motivated team are often complimented for their professionalism, customer care to both members and guests and their delicious food.

Darren started as an employee in one of London’s Michelin 3-star hotels and then moved to the Dorchester. He has won four separate awards for his cooking.

The bar snack menu, including coffee and tea, is usually available every day between 11am and 6pm in summer or between 11am and 4pm in winter. Our catering covers a wide area of activity within the Club including catering for societies who are always impressed with the choice and quality of the society menus.

  • In the summer months, we run occasional barbeques or hog roasts

There are quite a few members’ social events throughout the year and a menu is created to suit each one. Special celebrations such as wedding anniversaries and birthdays can be accommodated and, if recommended by a member, non-members may approach the Club with a request to hire the facilities.

The cosy private dining room is able to seat up to 50 guests and we also have a main lounge which can seat 60, and combined together, and depending on the type of event we can accommodate between 60 - 100 guests.

Following regular inspections by the Food Standards Agency we are proud to publicise our ongoing Food Hygiene Rating of 5.
